Nature of Work: Renovations to a historic school building dating from 1916 to convert into a 14-unit condominium

Location: Claremont, New Hampshire

Trumbull-Nelson Construction Company completed work on a 90-year-old elementary school building located in Claremont, NH for a development company based in Nashua, NH.

The project involved extensive interior renovation, creating 14 one- and two –bedroom condominiums.

The adaptive reuse of the school involved removing all partitions that divided the classrooms, framing all new interior partitions, and replacing all plumbing and existing electric. The work included the replacement of 90 windows with custom-sized, double-glazed units. Insulation of exterior wall and ceilings helped achieve an R21 and R50 rating for the building envelope.
