Hanover Fire Station
Nature of Work: Construct a 10,000 SF facility with 3 apparatus bays, administrative, training, and residential areas.
Location: Hanover, New Hampshire
Trumbull-Nelson completed work as Construction Manager for the Hanover Fire Station, located on the Lyme Road, north of Town.
The 10,000 square foot facility incorporated three apparatus bays, administrative, training, and residential areas.
Dartmouth College students had been a helpful addition to the Fire Department's volunteer force for many years. In the past, the students were close enough to the station to be able to run to the departing trucks. However, the location of the new fire station made this inconvenient for the student volunteers, so living accommodations for 10 students were also constructed in the new building. The arrangement allowed for greater interaction of the volunteers with the other members of the fire-fighting force and much broader opportunities for further training.
The work was completed on schedule and within budget.
