Woodstock Inn and Resort
Nature of Work: New construction of 111-room hotel
Location: Woodstock, Vermont
After over 75 years of service, the Woodstock Inn was due for an update.
Laurence Rockefeller purchased the Inn and added it to his RockResorts collection of resort properties.
Trumbull-Nelson was proud to be selected to construct the new Woodstock Inn & Resort, working tirelessly over 7 months to dismantle the 1892 Victorian structure and build the new Colonial Revival-style inn.
The new Inn featured 111 rooms, a game room, gift shop, dining room, ballroom, and the cozy Pine Room bar. The lobby warmly greeted guests with its 9-foot fieldstone fireplace, kept roaring all through the winter.
Later, Trumbull-Nelson went on to construction the new Base Lodge at the Resort’s Suicide Six ski area, as well as the Sports Center at the Resort’s golf/cross-country ski course.
