1920 In-Town Cottage

Nature of Work: 3,000 SF alteration and addition

Location: Hanover, New Hampshire

Trumbull-Nelson worked carefully with the Owner to renovate this 4-bedroom, 2-story 1920 home, bringing it into the 21st Century  and adapting it for aging-in-place, while preserving its original charm.

Some aging-in-place features include a barrier-free 1st floor bedroom suite and an elevator that brings occupants to the main level from the underground 2-car garage.

By converting the former crawl space basement into a garage, off-street parking was very cleverly created where previously there was none on the small lot of the in-town home. 

The collaborative effort resulted in the preservation and enhancement of a conveniently located home that the Owners can enjoy well into the future.
