
Vergennes-Panton Water Plant Improvements Set To Begin With Trumbull-Nelson On Board
June 6, 2011, VERGENNES-PANTON, VT - Trumbull-Nelson was recently awarded the Vergennes Panton Water District - No. 1 Water Treatment Facility Improvements Project contract for $4.1 million. Trumbull-Nelson will be working closely with Vermont based Otter Creek Engineering to oversee the projects successful completion.
The Vergennes-Panton water facility project will allow the plant to take surface water from Lake Champlain, process, filter it, and then provide safe, clean, drinkable, excellent water for its customers located in Vergennes and Panton. When the upgrade of the facility is complete, the water plant will be able to treat up to 1 million gallons of water daily and prepare the facility's soundness for the next 30 to 40 years.
