Trumbull-Nelson is the recipient of the 2007 Business Leadership Award presented by the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce.  The Company was recognized at an event held at the Marriot Residence Inn at Centerra Resource Park, in Lebanon, NH for its “honesty, integrity, hard work and excellence,” according to the Chamber.  The award also recognizes a company who, through its leadership, has been continually involved in promoting and enhancing the overall well-being of our community.’

In tribute, the event Program described Trumbull-Nelson in the following manner:

It’s been said that one quality of genuine leadership is “humbition” – the humility of not needing to focus attention on one’s self…combined with the ambition to do excellent work.

“Humbition” well describes Trumbull-Nelson.  As you drive along Route 120, it’s easy to miss their understated headquarters.  But go virtually anywhere else in the Upper Valley, and it’s impossible to miss their work.

For 90 years, Trumbull-Nelson has shaped the way the Upper Valley lives, works, learns, plays, and shops – from Hanover’s Post Office to the Woodstock Inn, from the Powerhouse Mall to the Control Tower at Lebanon Airport, from Centerra Market to Dartmouth’s Rockefeller Center for Social Sciences…and on and on and on.

Their impact is felt by all ages – from the newborn welcomed into the world at Alice peck Day Hospital, to the graduate student at Sachem Village to the octogenarian swapping stories with friends at the Richard W. Black Community and Senior Center.

Because they’ve been around so long and their work is so pervasive, one might easily take Trumbull-Nelson for granted.  But the truth is, they’ve become the Upper Valley’s largest contractor by never taking a singe job for granted.

Since 1917, they’ve hammered out a reputation for honesty, integrity, hard work, and excellence – one nail at a time, one client meeting at a time, one project at a time.

This kind of “humbition” makes their leadership very special.  So, it’s not surprising that they have earned lots of recognition, including two recent awards for Excellence in Construction from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).

Indeed, nothing speak more eloquently on Trumbull-Nelson’s behalf than their work.  And without their work, the Upper Valley simply wouldn’t be what it is today.
