It’s been
quite a winter around here already, with snow, wind,
rain, and both warm and cold temperatures. Rising to
the challenges of building in the winter and
building for winter use is just one of the subjects
of this issue of Constructive Images. As many of us
here enjoy getting outdoors, projects like the
construction of ski lodges at Mount Sunapee, the
Dartmouth Skiway, and Stratton Mountain are ones we
look back on with great pride.
As the weather provided unique challenges, each of
those projects reminded us and our clients that the
key to satisfaction is not necessarily finding the
lowest price. It’s finding the right people to do a
job—people who anticipate issues before they become
problems, and propose solutions that will help
everyone meet their goals when it comes to duration
of the project, quality of finished result, and
cost.
Just as Todd Kummer is bringing new medical
technology to our area with his business, New
Hampshire Open MRI, here at Trumbull-Nelson we’re
constantly looking for new ways to put technology to
work for our clients. The construction industry is
changing, and the level of sophistication that new
systems give us means that we’re able to keep our
clients more effectively informed every step of the
way. The differences I notice the most include our
ability to track progress on each job, to update
schedules, and more effectively and efficiently plan
each part of every day. We use internet-based
technology more and more to keep people on all
facets of each job well informed, and as a result,
we can be even more responsive to our clients’
needs.
These new tools allow us to take care of everyone in
a professional way without losing the personal touch
that has been a hallmark of Trumbull-Nelson for 90
years.
I hope you enjoy reading these stories, and please
let us know if we can help you with any building
projects in the future.
