Trumbull-Nelson recently completed Phase I of
building construction at Kendal at Hanover, an
assisted-and-independent living retirement
community, located in Hanover, New Hampshire. Over
the past year, the Company has managed the
construction of 43 residential units designed to
include both conventional and health care (skilled
nursing) quarters. A two-story, 24,000 square foot,
and 3,000 square foot addition here built to the
west and north, respectively, of existing
residences. In general, the new assisted living
units, appropriate support facilities, and
additional common areas were designed by Perkins
Eastman Architects PC to respond to the residents
needs; providing short corridor lengths and
clustering residential units into small groups. The
new and reconfigured space also accommodates a
country kitchen/dining area, lounges, and staff
support areas.
The Phase II construction program will include
approximately 48,000 square feet of renovation, as
well as a new 240 square foot greenhouse-like
addition and a new 500 square foot lounge/activity
room addition.
