Trumbull-Nelson is widely recognized for its
participation in many outstanding commercial and
industrial building projects throughout northern New
England. Less familiar to many is Company work
within the residential construction realm—involving
a single or multi-family dwelling; assisted-living
communities; additions and renovations. In fact,
Trumbull-Nelson business “roots” are in residential
building. And for current employees who find
themselves involved in the process of renovating a
local home, it is particularly rewarding to discover
the tell-tale signs of a Company home: a signed
truss member or carrying beam, select millwork
patterns, and a home that is genuinely ‘built to
last’. It is a true observation that the typical new
home is not built in this same fashion. But I’d like
to believe that each Trumbull-Nelson building
project strives to honor a Company tradition of
delivering the best possible results in terms of
performance and finished product, within every
budget requirement. In residential building, as in
all construction, we remain steadfast in our
commitment to quality, integrity and responsibility.
In doing so, we honor the craft, and adhere to our
own traditions and guiding principles.
Our summer issue highlights residential
construction. The magazine’s cover photo features a
Dartmouth College residence that was recently moved
to Lyme Road in Hanover; the third such move since
its original construction in 1810. This home, and a
similar dwelling also transported to an alternate
Lyme Road location, underwent extensive interior
renovation by Trumbull-Nelson.
Elsewhere in the Issue, we provide a photo gallery
of Company residential building and renovation
projects.
Trumbull-Nelson Construction Company is working on a
number of projects this summer. Groundbreaking
ceremonies have recently occurred at the Howe
Library, in Hanover, NH; the Robert A. Mesropian
Center for Community Care at Alice Peck Day Memorial
Hospital, in Lebanon, NH; and at the Stratton
Mountain School (Field house and Dormitory
expansion), in Stratton Mountain, VT. The Company
will soon begin a substantial renovation project in
Jaffrey, New Hampshire, and will commence work on a
residential building development project in
Plymouth, VT. Other summer work includes a facility
expansion for Creonics/Spectra and renovation to the
Dartmouth College Congregational Church, both in
Hanover; a renovation project at Thetford Academy,
in Thetford, VT; and construction of a new highway
garage in New London, NH.
We hope that you enjoy our Summer 2004 Issue of
Constructive Images magazine. Please let us know if
we can help with any pre-construction planning or
building assistance on your commercial, industrial,
institutional, or residential project.
Sincerely,
