Audit
enough business practices in your work life, and you
begin to understand the ‘ways of the world’ —
certainly, the ways of the business world!
Trumbull-Nelson’s newest addition to its
administrative staff, Terry Keane, brings a universe
of financial knowledge to the Company in her role as
Controller.
The position is ready-made for a self-described
“numbers-oriented person who could read about
finance all day long”! Terry’s broad business
know-how is the result of over 20 years of work in
both internal and public auditing within local
organizations. These efforts provide a solid
foundation for the tasks that Terry will encounter
in her leadership role at Trumbull-Nelson
Construction Company. As a former auditor, she
admits that her role was primarily to ‘suggest and
recommend’ change when such change was appropriate.
Now, her charge will include both recommending and
implementing such advice! Undoubtedly, she’ll put
her own stamp on day-to-day accounting and
bookkeeping procedures within the Company. And her
able staff is ready to provide her with the
assistance she’ll need to ensure program success!
A West Lebanon, New Hampshire native, Terry left the
Upper Valley to pursue higher education goals. She
received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business
Management from the University of New Hampshire, in
Durham. Her studies during this period provided
opportunity for study in Northern California over
the period of a year. She enjoyed the West enough to
return a year later to live and study in Fort
Collins, Colorado, where she received a Masters of
Business Degree (with a focus on Accounting) at
Colorado State University. Today, along with work
responsibilities, Terry is very involved and focused
on the demands of family life. This part of her
world includes her husband, Randy; and their sons,
David, age 22; Michael, age 11 and Mathew, age 9.
Michael and Mathew are very active in local
basketball programs, and will be soon go from
‘court’ to ‘diamond’ pursuing spring baseball.
Terry’s family recreational pursuits include hiking
and travel. Work and family commitments do not keep
her from finding ways to serve the broader
community. She currently serves on the United Way of
the Upper Valley Board of Directors, and pursues
other volunteer activities as time permits.
“Prior employment has offered me the opportunity to
work with tremendous people…invaluable business
mentors. My new role is made easier by this
experience, and also by the professionalism and
experience of fellow Trumbull-Nelson employees.”
Terry assumes her new duties with both energy and
excitement. “Prior employment has offered me the
opportunity to work with tremendous
people…invaluable business mentors. My new role is
made easier by this experience, and also by the
professionalism and experience of fellow
Trumbull-Nelson employees.”
Trumbull-Nelson is proud to welcome Terry Keane as
to its family. We know that she’s up to the
challenge and will be focused on accomplishment! |
