Trumbull-Nelson is currently completing work on The Stratton Mountain Club, a 26,000 square foot recreation facility for the Intrawest Stratton Development Corporation at Stratton Mountain, Vermont. Designed by Lemay and Youkel Associates, of Burlington, Vermont, the striking facility was built on the Old Snyder’s Pond Site and incorporates timber frame construction together with significant elements of concrete and steel. Varieties of stone, concrete pavers and slate were used throughout. An extensive snow – melt system serves numerous patio and terrace areas as well as the upper parking deck and entrance drive. Expansive walls of glass provide ample natural light, and broad views of mountains to the South.

The private 300-member Club includes a Great Room with fireplaces and cocktail bar; two dining areas; three commercial kitchens; member locker space; an entrance welcome/information desk; café; kids room; ski storage area; and administrative office space. Unique millwork and fine wood detail, and very high levels of finish, are found throughout the various public and private meeting areas. The Project includes a parking garage of 24,500 square feet and a facility called Cape’s Condo which is an integral part of Stratton’s snow making system.
