Alpha Phi Sorority House at Dartmouth College
Trumbull-Nelson recently completed the 3-story, 21-bedroom Alpha Phi Sorority House for Dartmouth College’s Office of Residential Life. With work occurring in a compact and highly congested space, and the need for a compressed schedule to meet Fall quarter occupancy requirements, exceptional coordination with all contractors was needed to enhance productivity and assure project success.
With energy considerations playing a key role during the design process, the House includes R-42 insulation in the walls, and R-70 insulation in the roof (using a combination of spray foam on the walls, and rigid polyisocyanurate foam on the exterior walls). Other design features include a LULA lift for access to the building’s basement area.
