Integrated Project Delivery Methods

Welcome to the Spring Issue of Constructive Images Magazine. We hope that you’ll find the articles in this publication useful and informative.

Readers of this magazine will clearly recognize a Trumbull-Nelson ‘bias’ toward integrated project delivery methods. With a myriad of construction activity beginning in the weeks ahead, and a variety of building projects within the planning ‘pipeline’, readers may benefit from a synopsis of currently employed contract-delivery methods outlined in this Issue by Executive V.P. Ronald Bauer.

With so much political and economic uncertainty surrounding us today, it is more important than ever for those seeking professional business services to feel a strong degree of trust in the people they chose to hire. This is certainly true in the building and design field. As in life, a successful building project is often about ‘the journey’ or process used to accomplish established goals. Meeting schedules and budgets are minimal requirements for success. The comfort level that results in hiring people that put your interests first, are effective communicators, and recognize the benefits of an integrative approach may, for many, be an equally important gauge of success.

Trumbull-Nelson is working on a variety of commercial, institutional and residential projects at this time. Our cover photo highlights the recently completed Stratton Mountain Club, in Stratton Mountain, Vermont. It was a pleasure serving the Intrawest Stratton Development Corporation on this exceptional facility. We will soon complete work on the Hanover Community Senior Center, in Hanover, New Hampshire, and will focus on this highly successful project in a subsequent issue of Constructive Images. Trumbull-Nelson has begun preliminary work on Phase 1 of the 51-building Sachem Village residential community for Dartmouth College. We are also currently working with the College on the planned addition to their Daycare Center. Preliminary work has begun for a larger addition/renovation project planned at Proctor Academy, in Andover, New Hampshire. Ongoing Company work includes an addition to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, in Hanover; additions/renovations to the Thetford Elementary School; renovations to Kendal at Hanover; and addition/renovation work at Our Savior Lutheran Church, in Hanover.

We also welcome your observations and feedback on T-N’s revised Work in Progress section of our website (www.t-n.com). We hope that our site can become a tool that helps us to better interact with clients.

Let us know if we can offer any construction assistance to you in the future. As always, thank you for the opportunity to serve you on current and future building needs.

Sincerely,

Laurence J. Ufford, President
Trumbull-Nelson Construction Co., Inc.
